Apart from being active in the flax industry, Procotex has been operating in the recycling market since 1979 and blending industrial textile waste which through several processes is turned again into useful fibres for various industries. Procotex recycles all kinds of waste deriving from carpet-making, extrusion processes, mattress production, the felt industry, ready-to-wear clothing, charitable clothing collections, car interiors, etc.

After a careful and selective collection, made in close cooperation with our suppliers, we upgrade in our production unit the different waste streams .

The most diverse industries are among Procotex' buyers' market:

Car industry: this sector uses many recycled polypropylene fibres, but also a wide range of padding fibres such as cotton and acrylic products for acoustic felts or hard components for lining.		Geotextile for making synthetic felts to improve road stability, or natural felts for covering road banks to prevent weeds from sprouting.
The thermoformation industry: mats produced by felt technology based on polypropylene and padded fibres. These mats are used in the mattress industry, as carpet underlays and furniture felts.		Draining: draining pipes are wrapped round with a mixture of synthetic fibres to increase their draining effect and to prevent the pipes from clogging.
The regranulation industry.		Services for the carpet industry. Such as wage-work cutting or pulling.

Modern technologies, contemporary logistics

In recent years Procotex has invested in a productive, flexible machine park, paying special attention to automation, balanced blending and environmental-friendly cleaning stations. Today, we have a capacity of 30,000 tonnes annually. Procotex recently expanded its capacity with a new pulling line offering the possibility of blending up to three or four different types of textile raw materials with staggered opening units, designed in-home This installation opens up new horizons. What formerly had to be thrown out as textile waste can now be reconditioned to useful fibre.

Procotex has an excellent reputation in logistics. Just-in-time deliveries and flexible production planning are everyday concepts. Each year Procotex ships 40,000 tonnes of fibres (recycling and flax fibres) worldwide to their destination, by road, across the sea or through the air.
